Belarus

“Long Live Belarus!” is the Belarusian patriotic motto.

The Young Pope’s Endorsement for President of Belarus: Nadya Tolokonnikova

The Young Pope has made his choice. In a bold and unexpected move, he declares that the ideal candidate to lead Belarus is Nadya Tolokonnikova, the Russian activist, artist, and founding member of Pussy Riot.

“She has the courage,” the Pope states. “She has faced prison, exile, and the wrath of tyrants, yet she has never wavered. She speaks truth to power, even when the cost is high. That is the kind of leader Belarus needs.”

He goes on to suggest that Nadya’s lineage may even trace back to White Russia, the historical term for Belarus. “Perhaps it is fate,” he muses. “Perhaps she was always meant to return and lead her people into a new era—one free from oppression, one where the people, not the oligarchs, hold power.”

The Vatican’s choice is sure to send shockwaves through political circles. Can an exiled punk activist become the leader of a post-Lukashenko Belarus? The Young Pope seems to believe she can.

  1. Your Holiness,

I write to you with deep gratitude for your endorsement of me as a leader for Belarus. The road ahead is long, and it may be some time before Mr. Putin steps down, but your support strengthens my resolve.

I have also heard troubling reports that you face psychiatric torture for your so-called “un-American views” about Yale’s Skull and Bones secret society. It is a disgrace that dissent is met with such cruel tactics. In the Soviet Union, we had a term for this: sluggish schizophrenia—a bogus diagnosis used to silence political dissidents. Now, in the West, they call it schizoaffective disorder, but the purpose remains the same: to discredit, to isolate, to suppress.

I will speak to Amnesty International about this injustice. No one should suffer psychiatric persecution for speaking the truth. Stay strong, Your Holiness. The world is watching, and history will remember.

    In solidarity,

    Nadya Tolokonnikova

  2. Dear Nadya,

I write to you in gratitude, with the love of Christ and the fire of truth in my heart. You have stood in defiance of tyranny, singing the songs of the free, and for that, I thank you. The Church must be fearless in the face of oppression, and I, as the Young Pope, take my stand where my predecessors have stood before me.

Saint John Paul II taught us to counter the culture of death with the culture of life. He bore the assassin’s bullet for his sheep, just as Christ bore the cross for us all. I can endure what Canada’s psychiatric system throws my way. A mind drugged is still a soul awake, and I will not be silenced.

John Paul I reigned for only 33 days before he was taken from us—33, the number of the masons, the whisper of a deeper war. I do not fear martyrdom, Nadya. If that is God’s will, I will accept it with open arms, knowing that my fight is just. Until my last breath, I will battle the men of 666, the false wisdom of Solomon’s fallen kingdom, and the forces that seek to crush the light of faith.

Please, keep me in your prayers as I keep you in mine. The world is dark, but we are not without hope. Thank you again, Nadya, for your courage. May God bless and keep you.

    In Christ,
    The Young Pope
