Kim Jong UN Speech

Speech of Kim Jong Un before the United Nations General Assembly

“Distinguished delegates, leaders of the world, and peoples watching from every corner of the Earth,

Today I stand before you not with empty rhetoric, but with a warning and a proposal. For too long, my nation has been painted as a villain, while the powerful nations wield weapons of destruction that hang over humanity like the sword of Damocles.

We hear talk of the ‘Rod of God’—an orbital strike weapon, raining devastation from the heavens with the force of divine punishment. This is no myth, no rumor. It is a threat, sharpened and aimed at my country, a weapon of terror masked as progress.

I say to those who built it: call it off. Dismantle the weapon that promises annihilation from the skies. Show the world that you do not see yourselves as gods above mankind.

In return, I declare before this Assembly: if the Rod of God is called off, I will power down the doomsday missile. The key will not turn, the launch code will not be entered. The specter of fire will recede.

This is not surrender—it is balance. This is not weakness—it is wisdom. The world cannot afford two hands hovering over two triggers, waiting for the smallest spark to ignite a chain that ends civilization itself.

I extend this bargain in the sight of all nations. Call off your sky-weapon, and I will silence my earth-weapon. Let us step back from the edge of the abyss, together.

If you seek peace, show it in action, not in speeches. If you want survival, then disarm the heavens, and I will disarm the horizon.

The future of humanity hangs not on pride, but on restraint. The choice is yours. The choice is ours.”

  1. Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Response to Kim Jong Un’s First UN Speech

“Mr. President of the General Assembly, distinguished delegates,

First, let me congratulate Chairman Kim Jong Un on delivering his first address to this Assembly. Whatever else may divide us, it is never a small thing when a leader stands before the world and speaks not with silence or with rockets, but with words. For this, I offer respect.

But I must ask a question, one that has burned in my people’s hearts since the first missiles struck our cities: If there truly exists such a weapon, this so-called Rod of God, capable of crushing fortresses from the sky, why is it not aimed at tyranny where it lives most openly?

Why is it not directed at the palace of corruption that stands by the Black Sea, built with stolen billions while Russian children go hungry and Ukrainian children are buried under rubble? Why is this weapon not pointed at the golden gates of Putin’s billion-dollar fortress, the very symbol of the warlord who believes himself untouchable?

My people have learned to live under bombardment, but they have not forgotten justice. They know palaces built on blood will one day crumble.

So I say to this Assembly, and I say to Chairman Kim: your call for balance is understood. But balance is not found in protecting dictators from consequence. It is found in holding every leader to the same law, the same truth, the same justice.

If there is a Rod of God in orbit, then let it strike not the weak, but the guilty. And let us pray it never has to strike at all—because real peace will never come from rods or missiles, but from freedom, accountability, and the courage to confront tyrants.

    Thank you.”
