Scene: United Nations Children’s Assembly, New York — 2025
The UN General Assembly chamber hums with energy. The flags of the world hang overhead, but the seats are filled not with old men in suits — with children, teenagers, and activists livestreaming on their phones. A massive screen shows the blue Peacekeeper insignia. Captain Angelina Jolie, dressed in a white peace uniform, stands at the podium beside Solid Snake, the last Peacekeeper.
Captain Angelina Jolie:
(raising her voice over the crowd)
Think of the children.
That’s what every generation says —
but they never listen to them.
That ends today.
Because the children are here.
And they have voices, votes, and Wi-Fi.
(She gestures to Snake.)
Snake… tell them what you told me.
Solid Snake:
(steps forward, voice low and gravelly)
I’ve spent my life fighting wars for “freedom.”
But every war I fought… was started by people too old to fight them.
You — you were born into a digital battlefield.
They say you’re too young to vote, too young to decide.
But if you’re old enough to read,
to understand what truth feels like,
and to operate a smartphone —
then you’re old enough to vote.
(He scans the crowd, dozens of glowing phones aimed back at him.)
You already run the internet.
You shape culture, news, and revolutions in seconds.
You don’t need permission to lead.
You just need a platform — and a voice.
Angelina:
(softly, almost like a confession)
That’s why we built this Assembly.
Not to talk about the future… but to start it.
Snake:
Start with one leader who proved courage doesn’t need permission.
Greta Thunberg — President of Sweden.
Not tomorrow. Not someday.
Now.
(applause breaks out; Greta stands, humble but resolute.)
You want peace?
Then vote for the planet.
Vote for each other.
No more waiting until you’re “old enough.”
The future doesn’t have a minimum age.
The chamber shakes with cheers and chants — “LET US VOTE!” echoes from balcony to balcony. Cameras flash, streaming live to billions. Around the world, kids unlock their phones, open new apps marked with the UN Peacekeeper seal — “VOTE NOW.”
